Internal Medicine

Greenway has unique content designed for and developed specifically for the Internal Medicine specialty. For Internal Medicine customers using PrimeSuite to document at the point of care, our solution offers nearly 200 customizable templates.

Content for this specialty began with collecting appropriate templates from other Greenway-developed specialties and review from board-certified Internal Medicine specialists. This information was edited and refined by Greenway’s on-staff physicians, nurses and members of our Clinical Content Team, then beta-tested at two Internal Medicine sites using PrimeSuite. In 2005, initial Internal Medicine templates and related content was offered for point-of-care, clinical documentation. Templates were revised and further developed through extensive use and feedback from PrimeSuite physicians at two practices. As of August 2007, Greenway’s Internal Medicine content has been used during more than 140,000 patient hours of point-of-care documentation.

• Clinical Content – Documentation of a large variety of clinical encounters, including documentation scenarios for straightforward, single-problem visits as well as complex, multi-problem visits. Not only has information from other specialties been adapted specifically for the internist’s use, but templates unique to Internal Medicine – such as general health maintenance, general patient management, and multi-problem new patient visit – also comprise the clinical content for this specialty.
• Patient Education – The Internal Medicine Template Library includes various Patient Education templates such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypertension.
