September 25, 2008, Carrollton, Ga. – Greenway Medical Technologies Inc., with its 2007 Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT^®) certified electronic health record (EHR), PrimeSuite^® 2007 R2, has been selected to the Florida Medical Association's (FMA) Preferred Vendor List.

The FMA only reviewed EHRs that were CCHIT Certified^®, had inherent e-prescribing functionality and an established customer base within the state of Florida. The EHR solutions that met the preliminary requirements were then further inspected before the final list was established. PrimeSuite 2007 R2 is one of 11 solutions, out of 47 CCHIT Certified ambulatory EHRs for 2007, which will be recommended by the FMA and available to physicians and physician practices within the state of Florida.

The Certification Commission, whose mission is to accelerate adoption of health information technology (HIT) by creating efficient, credible and sustainable certification programs, is the recognized certification body (RCB) for EHRs in the United States.
