Interoperability

We understand the importance of creating an interoperable healthcare infrastructure.  To drive adoption of standards, we work with IHE, Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise, an organization dedicated to creating the framework for passing vital health information seamlessly – from application to application, solution to solution, and setting to setting – across multiple healthcare enterprises.  

The Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) Sponsored IHE Connectathon brings together leading healthcare information technology companies that work in unison to achieve the common goal of creating an interoperable healthcare system where health information and patient data is shared amongst disparate systems in an effort to improve and benefit overall population health. Through a common framework provided by IHE, healthcare information technology (HIT) companies such as Greenway Medical can communicate with other HIT companies. The interoperable systems work with each other, sharing critical patient data effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.
