Palm Beach Obstetrics & Gynecology of Palm Beach and Lake Worth, Fla., a Greenway customer since 2006, won the 2008 Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence in ambulatory electronic health records (EHR). The award, sponsored by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), encourages and recognizes excellence in the implementation of EHR systems and recognizes healthcare provider organizations that successfully use EHRs to improve healthcare delivery. It is considered to be the most prestigious health information technology (HIT) award in the industry.

 

The Davies Award of Excellence was first given in 2003 for primary care practices. In 2006, the award was expanded to include all ambulatory physician practices. It was created to honor Dr. Nicholas Davies, an Atlanta-based physician who was committed to improving patient care through the better management of health information technology.

 

Palm Beach Obstetrics & Gynecology's successful deployment of Greenway's flagship EHR solution, PrimeSuite^®, resulted in improvements to the practice's workflow whereby the clinical, financial and administrative processes were all streamlined, improving productivity throughout the organization.
