What Greenway Can Do For You
Greenway Medical Technologies has historically dedicated its standards-based, interoperable EHR and entire Integrated Provider Infrastructure® solution to the highest and most comprehensive thresholds of innovation and EHR certification.
This is why Greenway is offering its customers a financial guarantee tied directly to the attainment of Meaningful Use stimulus funds being provided by the HITECH Act of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
PrimeSUITE 2011 is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria supports the Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Throughout this process, Greenway is offering the following guarantee:
Eligible professionals who utilize PrimeSUITE technology toward Meaningful Use certification, but do not achieve funding because of a failure of PrimeSUITE to meet Meaningful Use certification criteria, will be compensated equal to the amount of lost stimulus funds that would have been paid during the PrimeSUITE compliance failure.

What solutions does Greenway offer to help me?
To achieve Meaningful Use funding of up to either $44,000 or $63,750 per eligible professional over time via a Meaningful Use certified EHR, it is crucial to select the right solution.
There are several independent ways to assess EHRs. Current certification levels by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) is one, found at http://www.cchit.org/
Other reference points are customer evaluations compiled and designated as KLAS awards, which can be found at http://www.klasresearch.com/. KLAS ratings are based on a set of 25 key questions in the areas of sales and contracting, implementation and training, functionality and upgrades, service and support, and general scoring.
Providers evaluating EHRs should also take advantage of interviewing current customers of a given solution, and it is important for practices to select an internal search committee that is well represented by physician, nurse, administrative, and IT personnel, which can construct a balanced RFP and conduct site visits to similar specialty practices and to the headquarters of EHR providers themselves.
Greenway’s integrated, single-database EHR, practice management and interoperability solution PrimeSUITE® automates clinical and administrative workflows toward seamless Meaningful Use reporting and increased, proven ROI of between $21,600 to $81,500 per physician per year. Combining this return with the stimulus incentives that PrimeSUITE will facilitate improves the financial health of a practice and the clinical health of patients.
In conjunction with our Meaningful Use Dashboard providing a checklist of reporting compliance on a daily basis, and our series of national training sessions on Stage 1 measurements, Greenway customers have a complete set of solutions to achieve certified EHR incentives capture.
Greenway has earned EHR certification through two “Best in KLAS” awards for PrimeSUITE, our integrated electronic health record (EHR) and practice management solution, in the annual 2010 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report. For the fifth consecutive year, PrimeSUITE received the Best in KLAS award in the ambulatory EMR category for practices having between six and 25 physicians. Additionally, in the practice management category, PrimeSUITE received a Best in KLAS award for practices having between six and 25 physicians for the third consecutive year. These awards are based on information gathered by physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals that utilize and rely on the technology on a day-to-day basis. Greenway’s consistent recognition from KLAS for the past six years illustrates our commitment to product excellence and superior customer service. KLAS (http://www.klasresearch.com/) helps healthcare providers make informed technology decisions by offering accurate, honest and impartial vendor performance information.
PrimeSUITE provides internal capabilities aligned an array of practice improvements that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) are including in current measures and considering for future Meaningful Use incentives.
PrimePATIENT®, for example, is a secure patient web portal that can vastly improve the patient-provider relationship while also meeting necessary criteria to qualify for stimulus incentives. PrimePATIENT supports the United States Department of Health and Human Services Framework for Strategic Action “Personalized Care Goal” by encouraging the use of personal health records (PHRs).
Another critical aspect of Meaningful Use is interoperability, and Greenway’s PrimeEXCHANGE® achieves this standard by providing seamless data transfer between a practice and the entire health community.
PrimeEXCHANGE facilitates the electronic exchange of health information between practice based systems, including lab information systems. By fostering regional collaborations, PrimeEXCHANGE helps create a national health information network that coordinates federal health information systems and improves the quality of patient care. This kind of interoperability is required in order to qualify for stimulus incentives.
Once a practice has a certified EHR that is interoperable and can achieve Meaningful Use functionality such as electronic prescribing and computerized physician order entry (CPOE), the solution must also report certain quality measures. Greenways PrimeRESEARCH® streamlines reporting and simplifies participation in local, regional and national quality and public health initiatives by reporting electronic data directly to public or private healthcare agencies.
In addition to reporting on quality measures, PrimeRESEARCH bolsters interoperability by utilizing retrieve form for data capture (RFD) technology at the point of care in a live environment. This means that the EHR portion of PrimeSUITE can submit standards-based pre-fill data to an electronic data capture (EDC) solution as well as access view of the electronic case report form (eCRF). This solution makes participating in clinical research a source of revenue and also satisfies a key requirement of Meaningful Use.

What are my next steps?
Quality electronic health records already provide or are including these functionalities in current versions, as the criteria purposefully sought to offer a manageable increase in clinical goals. The ultimate goal of Meaningful Use is to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care. With EHR technology, providers will have real-time access to patient medical information as well as the necessary tools to ensure quality and safety. This increased access to medical information will greatly reduce medication errors and improve the treatment of chronic diseases. Healthcare providers will be able to quickly access the information they need to provide the highest quality care to their patients, systematically eliminating any healthcare disparities.
In order to get on track for demonstrating Meaningful Use in time to start receiving stimulus incentives, it is critical to begin looking for a certified EHR technology right now. Once you decide on which EHR to use, it can take five to six months to order hardware and improve workflow before going live. By starting now, a healthcare provider can successfully follow the timeline.
Greenway offers efficient solutions for all the requirements of Meaningful Use. These solutions not only make a healthcare provider eligible for stimulus incentives, but also improve efficiency, profitability and most importantly, patient outcomes.
