As a healthcare software executive and public policy specialist, Justin Barnes manages Greenway’s Marketing, Corporate Development and Government Affairs departments. With a background in healthcare information technology sales, corporate operations and legislative policy, Barnes is responsible for building and executing Greenway’s corporate strategy and government relations. Barnes resides on several industry governance boards and brings the essential continuum of experience from Silicon Valley Start-up’s to Industry-leading Fortune 20 conglomerates.

Prior to Greenway Medical Technologies, Barnes was a member of the founding team and Vice President of Sales Operations at Healinx Corporation. Within Healinx, Barnes was responsible for building and executing the sales and implementation plan of Healinx's physician-patient communication service. In the company's first 12 months, Healinx raised $26.2M in venture capital and Barnes built a nationwide sales and implementation team that consisted of 52 employees. During his tenure, sales increased a thousand-fold as he transitioned a concept into the most widely accepted physician-patient communication service. Today, Healinx is known as RelayHealth and continues as the premier provider of secure online healthcare communication services linking patients, healthcare professionals, payors, and pharmacies efficiently, affordably and securely.

Before joining Healinx, Barnes held several Sales and Operations positions with HBO & Company that subsequently merged with McKesson in 1999. He most recently served under the Enterprise Sales Group and was responsible for sales activities of the Pathways Smart Medical Record (SMR) application, consequently increasing sales by over 420%.

Barnes majored in Legal Studies and holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
