Corporate Social Responsibility and the Greenway Community Foundation

At Greenway, corporate social responsibility is integrated into our business model. As a company dedicated to the advancement of healthcare, Greenway is keenly aware of not only the challenges of the sustainability of healthcare and how it impacts communities, but how our solutions can and should provide philanthropic benefits on many levels.

Software as a Service. Literally.

To meet that goal, in February 2010, Greenway® donated our integrated EHR, practice management and interoperability software PrimeSUITE® to Northern Kentucky University's College of Informatics and College of Health Professions. There, it is being used to create merged curriculums to aid in the training, development and research tools of the next generation of health information technology professionals.

We followed the donation of PrimeSUITE with one to the University of West Georgia in our hometown of Carrollton, GA, and provided the technical support and training for the university's Health Services Center to convert health records for its entire student population from paper to digital charts to improve healthcare coordination.

The Greenway Community Foundation

Taking our efforts a step further, Spring of 2010 marked the creation of The Greenway Community Foundation, which embraced the Carroll County chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta as its initial beneficiary.

The Greenway Community Foundation has provided ongoing programmatic funds, on-site mentoring and company-sponsored internships toward employment to the nearly 200 Carroll County youth ages six to 18 the Club supports through its own comprehensive outreach to area youth.

As well as the support we provide, in 2011 we held the first Greenway Market Day, which was held on our corporate campus and raised an additional $3,000 for the Carroll County chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

West Fest

West Fest is an annual Music Festival sponsored by Greenway Medical Technologies and other corporate leaders in the community to raise funds for our local Carroll County Chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Our local chapter here in Carroll County houses more than 170 children daily in after-school and summer programs.

West Fest will raise funds for the Carroll County Boys & Girls Club to support them with needs like transportation, facilities, teachers, technology and a safe and healthy learning environment for kids ages 6 to 18 years of age. The Boys & Girls Clubs teach life applicable skills while having fun and preparing kids for their future!

The 'Do Right' Scholarship

Begun in 2011 as an annual event, the awarding of the Greenway "Do Right Scholarship” was developed to provide college education assistance to a high-school

Vanesha Fairsenior and member of the Boys & Girls Clubs chapter. Students are selected based on demonstrated financial need, academic merit, leadership in the community, extracurricular activities and community service.

In 2011, Carrollton High School Senior Vanesha Fair was awarded Greenway’s inaugural $3,500 scholarship as part of the company’s mission to support the Club and to recognize its own invaluable community leadership.

"Getting involved in the community and giving back are phrases you hear a lot. But what we’ve learned is how much we as a company and as individuals can do to help others."
