Forward-looking customers awarded for innovation
using Greenway solutions

Three customers of Greenway Medical Technologies in Washington, Texas and Arkansas respectively received the 2012 Greenway Innovation Awards™, sponsored by HP and Intel, for their innovative use of Greenway’s PrimeSUITE® ambulatory IT solution to improve care delivery.

Recipients of the inaugural awards include Pediatric Associates of greater Seattle, WA, an 80-plus-provider, seven-location organization; Premier Family Physicians of Austin, TX, with 23 providers in four locations; and Medical Park Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic of Batesville, AR, a single-location, two-provider practice.

The awards, selected by an independent outside panel of HIT experts, demonstrate both the scalability and flexibility of PrimeSUITE but that innovation occurs occur in healthcare organizations of all types and sizes.

Awards were presented at the company’s annual PrimeLEADER™ user conference in September 2012.

Tanner named one of America’s Top 15 health systems

Tanner Health System, based in Carrollton, GA, has been named one of the Top 15 Health Systems in the nation based on system-wide clinical performance.

Tanner Health SystemThe Thomson Reuters 15 Top Health Systems study culled data from more than 300 organizations and singled out 15 hospital systems that achieved superior clinical outcomes based on a composite score of eight measures of quality, patient perception of care and efficiency.

The selected organizations demonstrated lower 30-day mortality rates, better survival rates, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays, fewer 30-day readmissions, fewer patient safety events, higher adherence to evidence-based care, and higher patient satisfaction scores than their peers, according to Thomson Reuters. Data came from the 2010 Medicare Provider Analysis and Review, and the CMS Hospital Compare data sets.

Tanner is utilizing Greenway’s PrimeSUITE integrated electronic health record, practice management and interoperability solutions across its medical group’s nearly 40 ambulatory practices and approximately 120 providers in western Georgia and eastern Alabama to improve the coordination of high-quality, efficient and effective care.

Two other Greenway customers were cited in the study for having ranked in the top 20th percentile of all health systems studied — Cottage Health System, based in Santa Barbara, CA, and Mercy Health Partners, based in Cincinnati, OH.

Palm Beach OB/GYN receives Davies Award for use of EHR

Palm Beach Obstetrics & Gynecology (Palm Beach and Lake Worth, FL), a Greenway customer since 2006, received the highly coveted 2008 Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence in ambulatory electronic health records (EHRs).

HIMSS Davies AwardSince 1994, the Davies Awards of Excellence has recognized successes, lessons learned, and best practices in EHR implementation and value within the healthcare industry. The award, sponsored by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), encourages and recognizes excellence in the implementation of EHR systems and recognizes healthcare provider organizations that successfully use EHRs to improve healthcare delivery. It is considered to be the most prestigious health information technology (HIT) award in the industry.
